OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

Safe always. Stronger together.

At ProtectCorp, safety is not just a policy – it's a promise. We are committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for all workers, contractors, visitors, and the communities we serve across Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, and Victoria.

We operate under a compliant ISO 45001:2018 and aligned ISO 45003:2021 Occupational Health & Safety Management System, and uphold our obligations under the Model Work Health Safety Act and State based legislation, as well other applicable regulations and Standards.

ProtectCorp commits to:

  • Eliminating hazards and reducing OH&S risks to prevent harm.
  • Meeting all legal and contractual health and safety obligations.
  • Setting and reviewing OH&S objectives aligned with operational risks.
  • Engaging employees and representatives in safety decisions.
  • Embedding safety culture at all levels with proper resources.
  • Providing safe systems of work, plant, and training.
  • Driving continual OH&S improvement via audits and feedback.
  • Reviewing and communicating this policy regularly.
  • Upholding the physical and psychological safety of all team members.

Psychosocial Risk Prevention

We proactively manage psychosocial hazards including domestic and family violence (DFV) and alcohol and other drug (AOD) risks.

  • Identifying and controlling risks like stress, fatigue, harassment, isolation, and AOD impairment.
  • Providing a supportive environment through training, early intervention, and safe reporting.
  • Ensuring staff understand their role in safety outcomes.
  • Fostering open communication and wellbeing-focused culture.

Competency and Awareness

All staff receive targeted training on identifying and responding to psychosocial risks, DFV, and AOD-related concerns.

Communication

Health and safety messages are communicated via toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, printed and digital materials, leadership briefings, and confidential reporting mechanisms.

Operational Control

Psychosocial controls are built into day-to-day operations through:

  • Integrating DFV and AOD management into OH&S systems.
  • Assigning trained personnel for wellbeing check-ins.
  • Fatigue and stress controls in rostering and job design.
  • Lone/remote worker safety systems.
  • Anonymous reporting channels for concerns.

ProtectCorp’s Governance and Continuous Improvement Framework is a cornerstone of our commitment to excellence, integrity, and accountability across all levels of the organisation. By aligning our leadership, operations, compliance, training, and wellbeing functions with robust quality control, assurance, and risk management practices, we ensure that our services are consistently safe, reliable, and legally compliant.

This policy reinforces our dedication to continuous improvement, proactive risk mitigation, and the holistic wellbeing of our workforce. Through structured role clarity via the RACI Matrix, routine performance verification, and regular management reviews, we foster a culture where responsibility is shared, leadership is transparent, and outcomes are measured.

We remain committed to reviewing and enhancing this framework annually, or as required by changes in legislation or operational scope, to ensure it remains fit for purpose and responsive to the evolving needs of our people, clients, and industry.
